St Thomas the Martyr, Church of England Primary School attended five separate Christingle Services in the last week of term. Each class came separately so as to stay in their “bubbles”. The short service lasted about 20 minutes and included some prayers, led by children, recorded music, a short talk by the rector and of course the chance to light and reflect on the significance of the Christingles. The oldest children, who came last had the nous to realise that even it they couldn’t sing they could stamp along to the music. The rector wished he had thought of this earlier.
